These cabinets are an essential benefit to facilities that dispense addictive narcotics to patients, as the medications should be secured properly in a DEA-approved narcotic safe with limited access to staff to prevent unauthorized use.

  • Compliant with DEA guidelines for the secure storage of Schedule III, IV, and V controlled substances when a separate outer door is also used, such as inside a drawer or cabinet within a locked office or in a locked refrigerator/freezer within a locked office. Because this narcotics cabinet does not have both an inner and outer door, it is not recommended for the storage of Schedule I and II controlled substances unless additional criteria is met.
