JorVet Silver Alginate Dressing is a fibrous, highly absorbent (up to 20x its weight), all-natural biodegradable material derived from seaweed. The dressing absorbs exudates and forms a gel-like covering over the wound, which maintains a moist environment for optimal wound healing.

  • The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound, which makes dressing removal painless
  • Metallic silver particles are added to the calcium alginate fibers that inhibit the growth of bacteria in the dressing
  • Each dressing contains 50 ug/100 cm2 metallic silver particles
