Torphadine™ (butorphanol tartrate injection) C IV is indicated for the relief of pain associated with colic in adult horses and yearlings.

Four times more potent analgesic activity than morphine
Alleviates abdominal pain associated with torsion, impaction, intussusception, spasmodic and tympanic colic and postpartum pain
Analgesic effects are seen within 15 minutes following injection
Treatment may be repeated every 3 to 4 hours as necessary, not to exceed 48 hours
Cardiopulmonary depressant effects are minimal after treatment in the horse
