Challenge: The original building had been the town’s post office and couldn’t accommodate the clinic any longer

Goals of project:

Take advantage of a land purchase for a new building that includes parking
Create a flow to the practice for clients and staff

A cramped rental property meant lots of bumping into one another, dealing with a building that would flood and an indifferent landlord. Dr. Alicia Gerald had her eye out for land in the area for a few years. Once she found that, everything started clicking, from clinic design to equipment selection to construction planning.
Her new clinic has an easy in and out flow for clients, who can enter and check in through the lobby, then have their pets seen in exams rooms that lead to a checkout area and side door for exiting. The treatment center is well lit and designed for flow. Having surgical and dental areas were a novelty for the new clinic in addition to the treatment center. Ivor Vet Clinic serves its patients and community with a focused ease.
